The artist Pame, behind Pame does Art is on her studio.

“I didn't have time to be anyone's muse... I was too busy rebelling against my family and learning to be an artist.”
― Leonora Carrington

Pame does art, makes things and creates anything her curious mind feels like doing.

Pame (b. 1988) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives in a small village in western Norway; her artistic endeavors started when she was a small child and she would sit by the table with her mother while she was embroidering.

By observation and the teachings of her mother, Pame became very interested in art and the freedom of expression this could provide her. For many years she has experimented with different media, from textiles to clay and paper.

She recently graduated from Ytre Kunstfagskole with a degree on Visual Arts, her graduation project was a soft-sculpture/textile piece inspired in the connection and humanity of the people around us and the memories imprinted in our clothes, with the title “Embrace” (which you can see here).

Pame is always involved in projects that allow her to be connected to her characteristic curiosity and her fascination for the bizarre, surreal and whimsical.

Pame’s work is heavily inspired by her surroundings, her struggles with chronic illness and the works of her favorite artists (Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo, Mia Makila, Damselfrau, Britta Marakatt-Labba, and more.)
